For Stacey Marcell, horticulture is not simply about maintaining attractive landscapes. It is about understanding living systems and helping them develop successfully over time.
Stacey founded Northeast Horticultural Services from a deep interest in the environment and a desire to help property owners become better stewards of the landscapes around them.
She has more than 20 years of experience as a licensed arborist in Connecticut and holds a degree in horticulture from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her professional qualifications include the Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP) credential earned through TCIA in 2014 and the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) earned in 2020.
Her work combines horticultural science with an eye for how landscapes look, function and mature. That perspective is particularly valuable when working with established properties where decisions about mature trees, plantings, soils and future landscape improvements need to complement one another.
Stacey also believes strongly in relationships. Working with properties over many years gives her the opportunity to see how recommendations perform over time and to adjust the property's care as trees and landscapes mature.

Dan Dalton brings advanced arboricultural knowledge and extensive professional experience to Northeast Horticultural Services.
Dan is a Board Certified Master Arborist and a Connecticut Licensed Arborist. He holds a degree in Resource Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and also serves as an adjunct professor in the Horticulture Department at CT State Community College's Naugatuck campus.
In 2022, Dan received the Excellence in Arboriculture Award from the Connecticut Tree Protective Association.
His combination of field experience, technical arboricultural knowledge and teaching helps strengthen NEHS's approach to tree assessment and long-term tree care.

Josh Jimenez brings decades of hands-on horticultural experience to landscape projects at Northeast Horticultural Services.
His introduction to horticulture began at age 15 while working in his family's garden center. Over the following decades, his experience expanded from greenhouse and outdoor plant care into landscape management, project planning and large-scale residential and commercial landscape work.
Today, Josh brings approximately 35 years of horticultural experience to NEHS. He works with clients to turn landscape goals into practical plans, balancing design, plant knowledge, project requirements and long-term care.
His role is particularly important where landscape improvements need to work alongside established trees, plantings and other elements of the property rather than simply replacing them.

With over six years of experience at Northeast Horticultural Services, Cedi brings both expertise and heartfelt passion to her role as a Plant Health Care Technician. Her love for the natural world began early at just seven years old when she became fascinated by the vibrant colors and unique forms of life in the ecosystem. Whether she was catching ants, butterflies, or salamanders, young Cedi approached each discovery with the excitement of winning the lottery. That childhood curiosity has since grown into a lifelong commitment to plant health and environmental care.
Outside of her work in the field, Cedi is a creative force. An artistic roller skater specializing in JB skating, she finds freedom and inspiration on wheels. She also enjoys exploring other skate styles and learning from different skate cultures. When she’s not skating, Cedi stays grounded through painting, crocheting, DIY projects, and nail art. A self-described multi-talented maker, she’s always looking for new ways to express herself and stay connected to the world around her.
