Pruning With a Purpose
Tree pruning should accomplish more than making a canopy look smaller or neater.
Thoughtful pruning considers the tree species, age, structure, condition, surrounding property, and reason for the work. The objective may be to remove dead or damaged branches, improve structure, manage conflicts, provide appropriate clearance, or support the development of a younger tree.
